Tom Thomas – Chairman and CEO
Tom has spent his entire professional career building successful computer software companies. He has personally managed every function in a software company and has led several firms to be highly profitable national leaders in their specialized markets. Most recently he served for seven years as Chairman and advisor to SIRCON (now part of Vertafore), a privately held Michigan based SaaS company serving insurance companies and state insurance regulatory agencies.
For ten years, Tom was President and CEO of Creative Solutions, Inc. producing a suite of PC software application products used by more than half the public accounting firms in the U.S. As CEO and owner, he sold this firm in 1998 to the Thomson Corporation where it continues to be the leader in its field. He previously served as a vice president of a major New York City venture capital firm and had leadership responsibility for 18 acquisitions and 7 divestiture / strategic sales.
Stan Starkey – VP Sales and Marketing
Stan brings a strong track record and extensive experience in leading successful Sales and Marketing teams in the computer software industry. For the past five years he served as VP Sales for SIRCON (now part of Vertafore), the leading provider of SaaS based services to insurance carriers and state regulatory agencies.
Prior to joining Sircon, Stan spent two years with Workforce Software managing their North American Sales operation. Earlier in his career, he spent more than 20 years with Comshare, an international computer software and services firm, where he began as an Account Representative and progressed to VP Sales for North America and then to Senior VP Field Operations with worldwide responsibility for sales, support, consulting, training and OEM relationships.
Dave Hawkins – Chief Financial Officer
Dave has been working with entrepreneurial businesses across a wide range of industries for over 20 years. A CPA with previous Big Four accounting firm experience, he has spent the majority of his career working as a contract CFO for emerging technology companies, including Assay Designs and Danotek Motion Technologies, to build and strengthen their financial foundation while positioning them for profitable growth. Dave has successfully raised millions of dollars of venture capital and secured debt, and has handled mergers and acquisitions.
Dave has aided numerous growth-oriented companies in the areas of financial modeling, pricing strategy, competitive analysis, process improvements, and contract negotiations. He has also led successful turnaround efforts at three companies. He holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in business from the University of Michigan.
Mike McGarry – Chief Technology Officer
Mike has over 20 years of state-of-the-art application development and technology infrastructure experience. He began his career developing next-generation communication systems at AT&T Bell Labs, where he also co-developed an ISO9000 certified software development methodology that gained recognition as a Best-in-Class process. Mike later served in various executive technology positions working to build process-driven product development and IT infrastructure teams.
His executive leadership experience includes developing and implementing an application infrastructure that led to the growth of ACN from a start-up telecommunications reseller to a $500M enterprise supporting thousands of end users across three continents. Mike has received numerous achievement and individual performance awards throughout his career. He holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science, and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago.
Todd Thompson – Vice President of Business Development
A 20-year veteran of law enforcement, information technology, and project management, Todd brings to EJustice Solutions a breadth and depth of industry experience that are critical to developing and implementing successful law enforcement applications. His extensive knowledge of law enforcement procedures and products, combined with his hands-on experience as a police officer, is key to the industry acceptance, maintenance, and longevity of EJustice Solutions’ product suites.
Prior to joining EJustice, Todd served as a Senior Project Manager/Criminal Justice Domain expert with Northrop Grumman Corporation, where he was responsible for internal and external consulting in the development, marketing, and implementation of local and state-level justice information systems. He is a graduate of the Illinois State Police academy and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Illinois State University.
Sue Olson – Vice President of Customer Support and Operations
Sue possesses deep operations expertise based on nearly 20 years in software, hardware, telecommunications, and technical consulting environments. She has implemented customer focused programs and developed strategic relationships with a broad range of government and commercial partners and clients, including municipal governments, the US Department of Defense, Dell Computer Corporation, Hewlett-Packard, Microsoft, and IBM Global Services.
Sue’s extensive experience with process improvement strategies and diverse client support requirements forms a foundation for mutually successful customer relationships. A strong motivator, Sue establishes solid rapport with staff and customers through excellent interpersonal and communication skills. She is a recognized leader in solving difficult problems to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. Sue holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Management from the Krannert School of Management at Purdue University.
