PDF Creator is used by EJS OnSite to create PDF files that can then be sent via email or saved as a document. Because
PDF Creator is installed as a Windows Printer Driver, it can also be used by any other Windows application that can print
to a Windows Printer to do the same thing. The PDF Creator Install dialog will first ask for the installation Language:
Just click on the "OK" button to get to the PDF Creator Setup Wizard Welcome dialog:
Now click on the "Next >" button to continue to the PDF Creator License Agreement:
You need to select the Radio Button labeled: "I accept the agreement" (as outlined in the red
box), before you can click on the "Next >" button to specify the PDF Creator Installation
Type:
Keep the default Radio Button labeled: "Standard Installation" selected, and click on the
"Next >" button to select the PDF Creator Printer Name:
Keep the default Printer Name of: "PDFCreator" and click on the
"Next >" button to select the PDF Creator Installation Target Location:
Keep the default Target directory of: "C:\Program Files\PDFCreator" and click on the
"Next >" button to continue. You now need to decide if you want to make Yahoo! your
default Internet Search Engine:
Un-Check the Check Box labeled: "Set Yahoo! as my default search engine and notify me of changes"
(circled in red) unless you really want Yahoo! to be your default Internet Search Engine. Then click on the
"Next >" button to specify which PDF Creator Components should be installed:
Un-Check the Check Box labeled: "PDFCreator Browser Add On for Internet Explorer and Firefox"
(circled in red) unless you really want to install that Browser Add On. Then click on the "Next >"
button to specify the PDF Creator Start Menu Name:
Keep the default Start Menu Name of: "PDFCreator" and click on the
"Next >" button to select any additional Installation Tasks you would like:
Just keep the default settings and click on the "Next >" button to see an overview of
your Installation Settings:
Click on the "Install" button to start the installation process:
When the Installation is finished, the following dialog is shown:
Click on the "Finish" button to close the PDF Creator Installation Wizard. Now the
PDF Creator is installed and ready for use and the EJS OnSite program will show the following dialog:
Click on the "OK" button to close the dialog and continue with any other Workstation
Component Installations. The dialog will disappear by itself after 30 seconds, even if the button isn't pressed.
